The Doctor's Diagnosis

Our real doctor - not doctor Jake did blood work today and Jake has Mono.  I must confess I was relieved to hear it.  This is week 4 that Jake has been sick and completely exhausted all the time.  I was beginning to be anxious and my thoughts went to the worst like Leukemia not mono.  I am not a worrier when it comes to my kids health. But I have started to worry about Jake.  His doc said it will take probably a month or so for him to return to normal.  So we are going to get lots of rest, watch lots of movies, and drink lots and lots over the next few days before sending him back to school.

Glad to hear that you got a diagnosis. I was totally thinking the same thing. I got mono with strep once myself and it really does feel like your legs can't hold your body up. Make sure he doesn't do any horsing around, nothing physical, for the next month or so. (Not that you need my advice. :) Mono can be tricky. Praying for a quick recovery.

Wow, Amy, so glad you know now. And glad that it is manageable. The winter is a nice time for lots of movies. Praying for healing for your little guy, and sweet time with Mommy off from school!

awwww poor guy! i've had strep, many times (once you get it, you're more likely to get it again, or something like that) but never mono... thankfully. we'll be thinking and praying for all y'all.

Bless his heart- I'm so sorry he has that- now...who was he kissing? :) Like the others have said- at least it's winter and a good time to cozy up and hang out. Hope you are doing well.
